If you do decide to play Armored Core 1, just know the final mission is one of the most hated missions in the entire franchise lmao. Even Vaati, when he did his AC series recap, basically cheesed that mission and never went back to "legit" it.

A thing about early Armored Core is that it is very much a product of the 90s, but large elements of it are hidden away in books. For example, every Raven from AC1 has zany 90s character designs in the Data Book. It's not all military-chic stuff like Front Mission.

Also props to people who buy out-of-print art books, comics, magazines, etc. and then scan them online. Many people may not realize it, but to get the best scan you literally have to tear the entire book apart to avoid warping at the spine. So they pay big $ just for us.

A sad thing about some art books is that spreads don't line up. So even if you bought the book, tore it apart and scanned the pages, they won't make a perfect image. Such is the case for many Armored Core books. This amazing, 2-page spread will never have a "perfect" version.
